After competing successfully in the Music Showcase Festival, Blendon’s choir spent the day enjoying rides at Kings Island.
This past Saturday, April 28, the Blendon Middle School Choir participated in the Music Showcase Festival at Kings Island, under the direction of Chelsey Campbell. They competed in the Mixed Concert Choir division and came home with a Superior rating and First Place overall. This is the second year in a row they have received this top recognition, which is even more impressive since this year they moved from singing in two-parts to three-parts. To top it off, the choir received a perfect score from the adjudicators. After competing, pupils spent the rest of the day at Kings Island riding rides and having fun together. Campbell is very proud of the hard work her students have shown throughout the entire year and is very impressed with the growth she has seen since the fall. “They definitely deserved these top honors,” she said.
