Friends, family members, teammates, coaches, teachers and administrators gathered at Westerville North High School recently to watch and celebrate as two outstanding athletes signed Letters of Intent to continue their education and play sports at the collegiate level.

Julius Brown began playing organized basketball at the age of five for a recreational team, and eventually for groups including Buckeye Prep, Ohio Hoopsters, All Ohio, and the VCC Ohio Warriors.  He was always coached by his stepfather, Kenneth Brown, and now trains with DOSE under Jason Dawson.  Julius played on Westerville North’s basketball team for all four years.  He will attend Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee.

Davis Gaylord, a senior at Westerville North High School, committed on April 27 to play football for Otterbein University.  He started competing as a six year old.  Gaylord’s academic commitments are as strong as his athletic ones and he plans to pursue a degree in Computer Engineering.  He leads by loving and humorous example in everything he does, whether it is his commitment to God, his family, friends or work.
