Westerville North High School senior swimmer Jason Mathews was lauded for winning the 100 Breast, for the second year in a row, at the OHSAA State Meet held in Canton, Ohio, on February 24.  He finished third in the 200 Individual medley at that same event, setting a new school record.  Mathews’ stellar swimming career also included winning two Sectional titles and two District titles in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breast.  He was coached by Rich Morris, Maura Parker and Matthew Bey.  Mathews was recognized on April 9 by the Westerville City Schools Board of Education and Superintendent John Kellogg.  He will compete for The Ohio State University in the fall.
