Connie Brown’s second grade class at Pointview Elementary School has been following a nesting pair of bald eagles in the Washington, D.C. area, named Liberty and Justice.  They hatched two eaglets recently and the organization that is responsible for observing them, the Earth Conservation Corps., asked students around the world to help name them.  One-hundred-twenty-one classrooms participated, submitting more than 250 unique names. A panel of highly qualified judges narrowed the list down to 10 names, which are now to be voted on by the public.  “Allegiance”, submitted by Brown’s pupils, has made the cut.  Please cast your ballot at http://www.eaglecam.org/naming-contest.
