Kris Konik, Media Specialist at Heritage Middle School, was selected to participate in the Ohio Educational Library Media Association’s (OELMA) Leadership Academy.  The Leadership Academy is a seven-month program that began on March 9 with an intensive day-and-a-half program at Deer Creek State Lodge and Conference Center.  The workshop focused on assessing and reflecting upon personal leadership strengths and stretches within the context of the highly effective school library; developing a plan of action to implement a learned leadership skill that complements the Future Ready Schools ® framework; and developing a plan of action to share it with a wider audience.  The Leadership Academy was awarded a 2017 ABC-CLIO Leadership Grant and a Library Services Technology Act Grant (LSTA) through the State Library of Ohio. Konik is a member of the first Leadership Academy class.
