Former Hawthorne student Adrionne McCoy came back to donate school supplies to teachers and students.
Hawthorne Elementary School was recently approached by former student, and current Ohio State University pupil, Adrionne McCoy to see if she and her colleagues could donate school supplies to teachers and students. Teachers were able to put together a wish list of classroom supplies needed and Global Community K-5 was also able to donate 51 bags for new pupils. Global Community K-5 is a nonprofit student organization that raises money and/or school supplies to donate to disadvantaged schools or children around the area. “We believe that education should be accessible to everyone no matter the situation. We would love to be able to donate to more schools, so if you know any other schools that might be in need, please let me know,” said McCoy. She can be reached at McCoy.679@osu.edu.
