Two Westerville City School District teachers are among 15 finalists for the annual Teacher of the Year recognition program sponsored by Columbus Parent and ThisWeek Community News.   District families, staff, students and residents are encouraged to cast their votes for Kelley Moff, fourth grade teacher at Annehurst Elementary School; and Elizabeth Robinson, math teacher at Westerville North High School.  Moff was nominated by the Westerville Education Foundation and Robinson by a parent.

Readers may vote for one teacher at the elementary, middle and high school categories. Voting runs through April 2 at www.columbusparent.com/teachers and www.thisweeknews.com/teachers.  Winners will be recognized with award ceremonies at their buildings before the school year ends.  They also will be featured in the June issue of Columbus Parent and in ThisWeek Community News.

Numerous outstanding and inspiring nominations were received from students, parents and colleagues praising the work of teachers all around Central Ohio.   “Our editorial staffs carefully reviewed all of the submissions, conducted some independent research and selected 15 finalists," said organizers. “It’s clear we have many great educators in our region, and there were some tough decisions when it came time to narrow the list."
