The Pointview Elementary School Panthers hosted a MARVELous night of reading on Monday evening, February 26, which featured several stations including a poetry café, interactive book walk, and bookmark-making station.  Student leaders were in charge of stamping book “passports.”  As each youngster “flew” to a station, they received a stamp in their passport.  After they filled their passports, they received a Reading Night Brag Tag to add to their school lanyards.  Also held was a cake raffle, with proceeds going to purchase additional books for the school library.  Students got to vote on which reading quote they would like to see displayed there.  A representative from the Westerville Public Library was also present to provide additional resources to families.  Refreshments were served and each parent in attendance went home with books for their at-home libraries and ways to correlate them with the Seven Habits.  Organizers said their vision for the evening was to increase community engagement, empower students as leaders, and have fun with books.
