Ronald McDonald showed up at Westerville North High School on November 6 to present, for the second year in a row, a check for $10,000.  North once again won the McDonald’s/NBC-4 High School Team Challenge that pitted all Central Ohio schools.  Representatives from NBC-4 and McDonalds came to a raucous all-school assembly that was held to celebrate the big win, featuring cheerleaders and band music.

Last year’s prize money helped purchase weight room upgrades as well as a much-needed new ice machine for the school’s athletic training facility.  This year, according to Athletic Director Wes Elifritz, students will vote on how the money should be used.
