A Walnut Springs student reads to a third grade class at Mark Twain Elementary.

As part of the sixth grade Advanced Science geology unit at Walnut Springs Middle School, students were asked to bring minerals “to life” by incorporating science information into children’s books.  To share content information, creativity and to help build community in the Westerville City School District, they were invited to read their books to third graders at Mark Twain Elementary on May 3.  All pupils were said to have enjoyed the experience of working and learning together.
