Mia Hoffman, a soon-to-be graduate of Westerville North High School, was awarded a $500 scholarship from Leadership Westerville.  Hoffman is a 2014 graduate of Leadership Today.  Staying true to the Servant Leadership focus of the program, she returned the money so it will benefit the Leadership Today organization and other students.  Leadership Today is a nine-month program for high school freshmen.  Those who graduate are eligible for the Leadership Westerville scholarship.

Hoffman will graduate from high school with a 4.582 grade point average, has accepted a full ride scholarship to the University of Notre Dame, and will major in mechanical engineering with a focus in biological engineering.  The Leadership Westerville scholarship is based on academic achievement, school leadership roles, community involvement, school activities, work experience, and future goals.

Leadership Westerville Executive Director, Phyllis Self shared that, “Mia is a well-rounded young woman and is very deserving of this scholarship”.
