Pointview Elementary pupils displayed skills they have learned from The Leader In Me program on Leadership Day – Friday, May 12.  As part of the Leader.org grant, students and staff are expected to hold an annual Leadership Day.  During this time, parents, invested members, future schools of interest, and members of the community are able to see the leadership skills students are embracing.  The day began with visitors being greeted at the door with a handshake and then escorted to a registration and refreshment table in the Exploration Station.  From there, they were ushered to the gymnasium where they listened to a wonderful performance of songs from the 4th and 5th grade classes.  One student relayed how the Leader in Me program has impacted her, and then tour leaders guided guests around the building to visit various stations, which depicted how Leader in  Me has impacted learning and social-emotional well-being.  The event concluded with a song performed by Connie Brown’s second grade class, followed by a question and answer session.
