Westerville Central Band and Cheerleaders to Perform at Back to School Expo Tomorrow

An all-new Back to School Expo, presented by ThisWeek Community News and Columbus Parent, will take place on Saturday, August 13, from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., in partnership with Easton.  The free event will be held on Fenlon Street.

The 2016 Back to School Expo is a one-stop-resource for parents and children, ages preschool through college.  Exhibitors in many categories will be present (education, extracurricular activities/sports, medical, financial, and entertainment).  Plus there will be a family fun zone, great prizes, and entertainment on the main stage, scheduled as follows:

  • 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. – “Mad Science,” presented by Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland
  • 11:30 – 11:50 a.m. – Grand Prix Karting
  • 12:15 – 1:00 p.m. – Westerville Central High School band and cheerleaders
  • 1:00 – 1:45 p.m. Fashion Show sponsored by Cookie Cutters (clothing by Macy’s and hair/makeup by Beauty Brands)
  • 1:45 - 2:00 p.m. – Hula Hoop Contest presented by BMI Federal Credit Union
  • 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. – Columbus Children’s Theatre Touring Group
  • 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. – Robotics presentation by Marburn Academy
  • 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. – Karaoke contest presented by Karaoke Warehouse
  • 3:30 – 3:55 p.m. – “Geared Up” competition presented by OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks
  • 3:55 – 4:00 p.m. – Event passport prize winners announced

Principal Todd Spinner jumped at the chance to have Central students showcased at the event, saying he is “excited to watch them perform in front of hundreds or maybe thousands of people!”
