Walnut Springs Middle School has evacuated due to an unusual odor near the Center for Inspiration. The fire department has been called to investigate and we hope to return to the building very soon.
8:39 a.m.
The fire department has checked the air and is not detecting any gas. They will help with ventilation of the building to bring fresh air into the school. Access to school is restricted during this time. District maintenance is checking air handler on the roof as possible source of odor.
8:50 a.m.
The school has ben ventilated and is resuming normal operations.
