Pointview Elementary School hosted a Family Engagement Night for parents and students on Thursday evening, January 21, which drew an enthusiastic crowd of learners.  Following a pizza dinner, participants visited classrooms where teachers were present to organize activities and answer questions.  The primary purpose of the event was to help parents learn engaging ways to support student learning by utilizing everyday objects.  Each family received a baggie of study manipulatives to use at home.   In addition, time was devoted to help parents understand the technology used at school and learn how to log on to programs their children are using for Reading and Math.
