Carolyn, a student at Emerson Magnet School, has been selected as one of four $500 scholarship recipients for writing an essay about her visit to the Ohio State Fair.  The education program, called “Ag is Cool,” is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.  Representatives from the Ohio State Fair, the Ohio Department of Agriculture, and the Ohio Farm Bureau visited Kauh’s class on Wednesday, October 29, to present her with a giant check and talk about how agriculture impacts our daily lives.  Kauh read her award-winning essay aloud, which was met with thunderous applause from her fellow classmates.
