Students in Mara Clark’s 4th grade class at Emerson Elementary School learned some valuable lessons about collaboration recently through an activity called The Marshmallow Challenge. Both fun and educational, The Marshmallow Challenge asks groups to design and build the tallest possible free standing structure using just spaghetti, masking tape and twine, with a marshmallow on top!  Pupils were given 18 minutes to finish the exercise.  While the immediate goal was to build tall, strong structures and complete the task, much more was learned about working together towards a common goal.  Learn more about The Marshmallow Challenge at http://marshmallowchallenge.com/ .
