Drive by Westerville South High School at 303 South Otterbein Avenue and you will see 3,000 tiny American flags planted in front of the building to commemorate the 3,000 lives lost on 9/11.  The student group who organized the effort is called Young Americans for Freedom.  They meet every Wednesday throughout the school year in the classroom of science teacher and club advisor Beth Eddy, who said, “We’re hoping that people will remember or re-read the stories of courage, self-sacrifice and love among those who perished that day.  We believe that 9/11 highlights the value and sacredness of human life.”
