Westerville Central High School sophomore Kelli Wozniak dreams of being a five-time State Fencing Champion.  She’s well on her way to that goal, having captured her third consecutive women’s sabre title at the Ohio high school championships by beating second-seeded Alyson Gruber of Hilliard Bradley High School 15-1 in a gold medal bout at the Royal Arts Fencing Academy on April 11.

Wozniak, who competes for Columbus Fencing & Fitness, also participates in Central’s track and field program.  She received a letter of congratulations from Congressional House Representative Patrick J. Tiberi, who wrote, “You have set a new standard for future athletes to reach.  Everyone at Westerville Central High School should be extremely proud of your performance.”
