Sixteen adjunct faculty members with Ashland University’s Schar College of Education have been awarded professional fellow recognition for a three-year term.  They received this honor at the College of Education meeting on April 24.  Those adjunct faculty members receiving this recognition include Jamie Lipp of Pickerington, who was named a professional fellow at Ashland University’s Columbus Center and for the online program.  Lipp is an elementary English language arts/social studies curriculum specialist for Westerville City Schools and an adjunct professor for Ashland University.

To receive professional fellow recognition, an adjunct faculty member must be nominated by the center director or department chair, and those nominations are voted on by the Schar College of Education faculty members.  Criteria for Professional fellow status is based on Length of Service, Quality of Instruction/Supervision, Knowledge of Teaching and Learning, Student Evaluations and for supervisors, there must be evidence of building collaborative relationships with P-12 partners.
