Third grade students recently hosted a Reading Fair at Alcott Elementary School. They participated by reading a favorite book and then creating a storyboard to display and share with their peers. They presented their projects in the library to a panel of judges, and awards were presented in each classroom in the areas of non-fiction, fiction, creative non-fiction and creative fiction. All third graders received certificates of participation. Parents were invited to enjoy the colorful displays after school that day. The goal of the event was to nurture a deeper and hopefully lifelong love of reading.
