Students packed the gymnasium on Thursday afternoon, March 26, to cheer for the Westerville South High School Wildcat varsity basketball team, which is headed to Ohio State’s Value City Arena this evening to face off against Garfield Heights in the State Semifinal. The winner will advance to the State Finals on Saturday. This marks Ed Calo’s 28th season as coach.
During the pep rally, South was presented with a Boys Division 1 Winner banner from JJ Huddle and the Ohio Army National Guard.
In addition, Rick Bannister and the alumni were thanked for their gargantuan efforts in raising money to offset the cost for students of playoff tickets.
