The Westerville Central High School Key Club sent three of its members to the annual District Leadership Conference in Beachwood, Ohio recently – co-presidents Sakhi Patel and Prestin Minter, and Luis Sandoval.  The group participated in fellowship activities including a spirit rally and dances, a banquet, and forums to learn about leadership, fund-raising, and service ideas.

Central’s Key Club was recognized for paying its international dues by the early bird deadline, and for finishing second in the K-Family Award, given to them for their service work with Kiwanis at Lifeline Christian Mission.  In addition, Sandoval earned the Key Club Governor’s Award for Outstanding Board Member for his work as webmaster for the Ohio District of Key Club. The governor of the organization described Sandoval as a humble father figure to the Board who is always up to date on the newest technologies.  He also shared that Sandoval has been accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Minter was endorsed by the Ohio District of Key Club to run for International Trustee.  He will attend the International Convention this June in Indianapolis.  If elected to one of the 11 International Trustee positions, Minter will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the Key Club International Board and at least two Key Club districts.
