The Westerville South High School varsity basketball team is headed to the state playoffs for the first time in history, following a thrilling 70-63 victory over Northland in the Division I Regional Final. Students and community members are encouraged to turn out in force to cheer for the Wildcats and their beloved coach, Ed Calo. Coach Calo has led the team for a whopping 28 years.
Pre-sale tickets are available for $10 at Westerville Souths Athletic Office this week. On Tuesday, March 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., anyone who donates at least $5 towards buying down student ticket prices will be able to purchase a ticket.
On Wednesday and Thursday, March 25 and 26, tickets can be purchased by anyone between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Pre-sold student tickets will only be available on these two days.
On Friday, March 27, pre-sale tickets will no longer be available for purchase at Westerville South. The game beings at 5:15 p.m. and will take place at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University.
If Westerville South wins Friday night, pre-sale tickets for the state championship game on Saturday will occur in the Schottenstein Centers Auxiliary gymnasium immediately following the Friday night playoff contest. Those wishing to purchase a ticket for the championship will need to show their semifinal tickets.
