Ninety-seven students at Genoa Middle School were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Wednesday evening, March 11.  Friends and family members gathered in the gymnasium to watch as these outstanding pupils were recognized.  Teacher Kara Reiter was the Keynote Speaker and event organizer Katie Paolini imparted words of wisdom to the crowd.  Honorees were selected on the basis of four attributes – scholarship, leadership, service and character.  The “cost” of admission was three boxes of cereal, all of which were donated to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM).  At the end of the ceremony, each student gave their parent an orange flower with a note attached, thanking them for their encouragement.
