Both Westerville South orchestras met with success at the OMEA State Orchestra Adjudications that were held at Reynoldsburg High School on February 27 and 28.  The Concert and Symphonic orchestras earned the highest overall scores, “Superior - I,” with the Symphony Orchestra earning a perfect score.  Out of a panel of four judges, all awarded the Symphony Orchestra the highest possible mark.  This is the sixth year in which the Symphony Orchestra has earned the highest rating at OMEA adjudications.  South’s Concert Orchestra was only one point from achieving a perfect score.  This is the first time since 2011 that the Concert Orchestra has earned the highest overall score.

Westerville South’s orchestras, directed by Mark Stevens, will perform their final concert of the school year at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7 in the school auditorium.  South is located at 303 South Otterbein Avenue.
