Westerville North Sandvik Twins will Run at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio

On Thursday, November 13, Westerville North High School seniors Haley and Heather Sandvik signed National Letters of Intent to run cross country and track at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Haley, a member of the National Honor Society, holds a 4.4 GPA and is a four-time Academic All-Ohio Honoree, who also participates on the In The Know team.  She has received numerous awards including runner-up in the steeplechase at the Junior Olympics National Meet in 2014.  She is also  a three-time state qualifier in cross country with a high place of 39th in 2014, and she was part of the 4 x 800 relay team that placed 4th at the Indoor State Track meet and 7th at the Outdoor State Track  Meet in 2013.

Heather holds a 4.2 GPA and is also a member of the National Honor Society.  She is a four-time Academic All-Ohio Honoree, as well as an accomplished musician, playing both piano and guitar.  She is the National Junior Olympic Steeplechase Champion and is the only athlete in the Westerville School District, male or female, to qualify individually for the Cross Country State Meet all four years.  She received All Ohio Honors in 2012 and 2013 with her 20th and 16th place finishes.  She was a track state qualifier for the 1600m and 3200m in 2013, and was also part of the 4 x 800 relay team that placed 4th at the Indoor State Track meet and 7th at the Outdoor State Track Meet in 2013.
