Adjunct instructor for Ashland University and Alcott Elementary School Principal Joseph Uher facilitates a graduate level course for 20 staff members in the Westerville City School District.  Participants represent a wide range of employees, including support personal and future retirees.  The group is studying Carol Dweck’s book, Mindset, in an attempt to fine tune how feedback can motivate students and help them to improve in school, as well as help staff members reach their own goals, both personal and professional.  The Ashland course also is cultivating the building’s culture by establishing a systemic framework rooted in positive behavior intervention and supports.  The class meets once a month throughout the entire academic year.
