The Alcott Elementary School Walk-A-Thon was held at Westerville Central High School’s track on September 26.  Students from all grade levels walked and ran to raise $13,355.20 for the Alcott PTA to fund projects such as Chromebooks, books for the library, and special events.  Alcott principal Joseph Uher promised students that if they raised $14,000, he would paint his beard green for a day.  Although that goal wasn’t quite reached, Uher rewarded the pupils with his green beard anyway, not just because of their incredible fundraising effort, but to recognize third grade students who were all in attendance for their OAA test on October 7.
