Alcott Elementary School’s Student Council wanted to come up with a project to promote unity and they also wanted to introduce everyone to their new principal, Joseph Uher.  So, the “Where’s Mr. Uher?” board was created.  With outlines provided by the group, every student and staff member, including Mr. Uher, drew and colored a likeness of themselves and cut it out for placement on the board.  Similar to the well-known book series, Where’s Waldo?, the board became a maze of faces with everyone’s goal being to find Mr. Uher.  As an extra challenge, Mr. Uher’s image “moves” every day, thanks to fifth grade teacher and Student Council Advisor Mike Mazzon.  Student Council succeeded in their goal as the board has become a popular spot to be for students, staff, and even parents, all of whom search each day for Mr. Uher.
