IMPORTANT KINDERGARTEN DATES & INFORMATION

2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR

  • All-Day Kindergarten is a fee-based, lottery program with tuition assistance available to those that qualify. To be included in the All-Day Kindergarten Lottery, please complete your child’s registration by March 17, 2023.

  • Those who wish to apply for the All-Day Kindergarten Lottery may do so beginning January 17 after 10AM as part of the online enrollment application at www.wcsoh.org/Enroll

  • All-Day Kindergarten Tuition is $3,000 for the year or $300 per month for 10 months (August-May). Tuition assistance is available for those that qualify. Qualification for assistance is based on household size and annual income according to the following guidelines:

  • Notification of All-Day Kindergarten placement will be mailed via first class mail by March 24, 2023.  All families that applied will receive either an invitation letter or a waitlist letter.

    • Acceptance of All-Day Kindergarten Invitation, along with first payment OR the tuition assistance application, due no later than April 4, 2023.

Does your child attend WCS Early Learning Center Preschool?

If your child is a currently-enrolled Westerville City Schools preschool student, you do not need to re-register, but do need to complete an All-Day Kindergarten application. Please contact Angie Goff at goffa@westerville.k12.oh.us or call 614-797-5934 for an application.

A: At a minimum, school districts are required to provide a free, half-day kindergarten opportunity for students. This option remains available to everyone.  Families who choose to enroll their child in the All-Day Kindergarten Program will be charged tuition in addition to the standard school supply fee for kindergarten students. Full tuition is $3,000 per student, or $300/month for 10 months.

A: First payment is due upon acceptance into the program and shall be applied as the August payment. Tuition payments for September through May will be due the first of each month.  Families have the option of paying  by cash or check or via our online EZPay system.

A: Tuition is determined through the Tuition Assistance application.  If a family qualifies for assistance, the All-Day Kindergarten tuition will be adjusted based on gross income.
