Cherrington Elementary School students and families raised more than $11,500 during a Walk-A-Thon held on September 20.  Generous community sponsors brought in an additional $2,300, for a grand total of $13,800.  Because pupils met their ultimate goal, they earned an in-school movie and popcorn with Principal Andrew Heck, dressed in costume.

With these funds, the PTA will be able to provide field trips, COSI on Wheels, exciting assemblies, playground equipment, supplemental reading materials (lots of books!), clubs, teacher grants, and family fun events at school.  Organizers expressed their deep appreciation to sponsors Shirck Orthodontics; Ron and Kristin Riebe at Edward Jones; and Holistic Consultations.
