The prospect of attending a Bounce House party served as a great incentive for learners at Cherrington Elementary School.
This year the Cherrington Elementary School staff challenged students to complete their Lexia grade level benchmark goal by the end of the year. Lexia is an online program that provides differentiated literacy instruction for students of all abilities in grades pre-K - 5.
To help with this initiative, children who are behind, who do not have access to Lexia at home, or who just need extra support have been attending the before-school Lexia Learners Club. Pupils who met their mid-year grade level goal were invited to attend a Bounce House party on Friday, January 11.
