At the November 19 Regular Session, Rev. Vaughn Bell was sworn in as the newest member of the Westerville City Schools Board of Education.  He was chosen to fulfill the unexpired term of Richard Bird, who resigned from the Board on October 31 to pursue a career opportunity in Colorado. 

Bell is the Senior Pastor at Triumphant Church of God.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Ohio State University, a Master of Divinity (concentration in Leadership Development) from United Theological Seminary, and is projected to receive his Doctor of Ministry from Anderson University in 2019. 

Bell’s prior involvement in the district is extensive.  He has served as a member of the Elementary Attendance Boundary Realignment Committee, the Community Engagement Committee, the Financial Review Committee, President of the African American Parent Association, and as a Community Representative on District Strategic Plan Committee.
