Students at Cherrington Elementary School were given a lofty fundraising goal of $10,000 for their annual Walk A Thon, which was held on September 22.  They responded to the challenge in a big way, by raising a remarkable $11,500, which will be used for classroom grants, field trips, all school performances, COSI on Wheels, and Field Day.  During the popular event, every student and staff member received a Cherrington Cougars t-shirt, and all were invited to walk or run around the track, do a little dancing, and enjoy some snacks, which were provided by the PTA.  Because they did such a stellar job, the entire school will get to enjoy a sno-cone party on October 6.
