Students and Parents Gather at Cherrington for Family Science Night

A fifth grade student conducts and experiment during Family Science Night.

 

Students and their families packed Cherrington Elementary School on Thursday evening, January 22, Family Science Night.  Representatives were on hand from MAD Scientists, American Ceramics, Westerville South High School, Lakeshore Cryogenics, Bright Path, Wireless Device Repair and Otterbein University, along with geologist Dale Gnidovec, to help participants engage in scientific activities and experiments.  Exercises ranged from making ice cream with liquid nitrogen to exploring a cloud model to see how warm and cold air interacts.  A book fair was held in conjunction with Family Science Night.
