Knights of Columbus Grand Knight Sebastian Mauricio and Deputy Grand Knight P. Michael Brunetti visited the administrative offices of the Westerville City School District on Friday, November 7, to present a check in the amount of $4,900.27 to the Special Education Department.  This generous donation will be used to expand Wilderness Bond Services participation, which is facilitated through Camp Mary Orton.  Wilderness Bond provides therapeutic adventure programming to support youth in reaching their social, educational and mental health goals.  Up to 20 students, twice a month for 10 months, are able to take part, resulting in improved attendance at school and a decrease in unacceptable behavior.

The Knights of Columbus have supported Special Education activities in the district for many years.  Superintendent John Kellogg said, “We are extremely grateful for this incredible partnership, which has greatly enhanced opportunities for our students.”
