Westerville City Schools has been informed by TRECA, our service provider for PowerSchool/PowerTeacher, that they will temporarily be shutting down these services for maintenance and upgrades beginning Friday, August 15 at 4:00 p.m. with anticipated completion on Sunday, August 17 by 11:00 p.m.
Due to this downtime, access to PowerSchool, including the ability to view grades, attendance, homework assignments and other class information, will not be available.
In an email sent to all districts that use their services, TRECA states, “While we understand the timing of this is not conducive to the start of school, it could not be done any sooner due to product availability; any later would jeopardize the reliability of Internet service once schools are in session.”
Although the timing of theses upgrades is out of the district’s control, our intent is to keep families informed of issues that may impact you or your student(s).
