A little bit about me
 

My name is Adam Rex and I am the school social worker at Huber Ridge and Hanby Elementary schools.  This is my eighth year working in the Westerville City School District and there is nowhere else I would rather be.  I graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and then went on to get my master's degree in Social Work.  When I am not chasing my four and a half year old son around or trying to keep track of my two year old twin boys, I enjoy running, watching movies, and soccer.  I play as often as I can and on most Saturday mornings I am watching the English Premier League rooting for my favorite team, Manchester United.

Being the School Social Worker

My role as the school social worker is to help meet the academic, career, and social/emotional needs of all students.  I can address these needs in various ways including:

*Individual & Small group counseling
*Classroom guidance lessons
*Provide resources and referrals to community agencies
*Consulting & collaborating with parents, staff, and administrators
*Family Engagement
