Westerville North High School Principal Kurt Yancey encourages the freshman class to support each other and do everything necessary to graduate on time in 2023.
Following Westerville North High School’s traditional Yellow Rose ceremony held on August 14, which celebrated the senior class who will graduate in May 2020, freshmen stayed after to participate in their own special assembly.
Principal Kurt Yancey delivered some inspirational remarks, and explained the school’s focus to provide all the necessary resources and supports needed to assist every member of the Class of 2023 graduate on time. Each freshman then signed a large, mock diploma committing to complete all the work needed to receive his or her diploma in four years. That banner has been placed directly outside of the main office to remind students of their pledge, and will eventually be displayed at commencement.
