Former Westerville North High School Principal Jim McCann, for whom the stadium is named, was first to ring the new Victory Bell.
Westerville North High School held its first annual “Meet the Team” event at Jim McCann Stadium on Friday, August 9. All fall teams, the marching band and cheerleaders were introduced to a packed stadium full of games, activities, and food for all who attended.
The culminating event was the unveiling of a new victory bell at the stadium. North parent Barry Woods and his sons, Jacob and Aaron, constructed the base of the bell, while North parent Tim Hoover helped weld the structure and complete the project. Seniors Auri Dover, Abby Markley, and Austin Bealer joined McCann in revealing the bell to the public for the first time. McCann then took the honors of being the first individual to ring in a Warrior victory!
