Westerville North High School senior Nick Martz performed in the All-State Choir on February 2 in the Grand Ballroom of the Cleveland Convention Center, as part of the 2018 OMEA Professional Development Conference.  He was one of just 200 students from all around the State of Ohio who were invited to participate, following a rigorous audition process.  The Tenor 1 is taught by North educator Elizabeth Brosius.  He plans to major in music education next year at college.

The program started with The Star Spangled Banner, by Francis Scott Key, and continued with O Admirabile Commercium by Jacob Handl; Lullaby by Daniel Elder; and Spiritual Songs by Kellori R. Dower.  Also performed were Lift Every Voice and Sing, by James Weldon Johnson; Crucifixus from B Minor Mass, by Johann Sebastian Bach, Glorious Everlasting, by M. Thomas Cousins; and Still I Rise, arranged by Rosephayne Powell and William Powell.  Rounding out the show was a popular Filipino folk song from the Tagalog region, Leron Leron Sinta, arranged by Saunder Choi.
