Westerville North’s Reese Burke to Play Lacrosse at Otterbein University

Friends, family members, teammates, coaches, teachers and administrators gathered in the gallery at Westerville North High School on Monday, May 7, to watch and celebrate as Reese Burke signed a Letter of Intent to play lacrosse and continue her education at Otterbein University.  Burke began playing recreational soccer at the age of five and also played on club teams such as Heroes FC, WASA Global, Crew Juniors and Central Ohio Elite FC.  She played on the Westerville North Girls JV soccer team during her freshman and sophomore years.   She also dabbled in basketball, cheerleading, karate, dance and softball.   She played softball in her eighth grade year at Heritage Middle School and at Westerville North as a freshman.  Burke started playing lacrosse during her junior year in the goalie position on the JV team, and has continued in that role on the varsity team during her senior year.   Burke was a Scholar Athlete all four years of high school.   She will attend Otterbein University in the fall and plans to obtain a degree in Nursing.
