It is Energy Fair season for 5th graders in Westerville!  Every elementary school will participate in a day of science discovery and learning.  Youngsters will learn about light, forces and motion.  More than 350 students from all high schools and middle schools in Westerville have been trained to be part of an Energy Leadership Team.  These teams facilitate hands-on activities for 5th grade pupils across the district so they can deepen their understanding about the science and conservation of energy.  The City of Westerville Electric Division has sponsored such school events through the Westerville Energy Education Partnership since 2000.

The Ohio Energy Project (OEP) will recognize Westerville schools on May 15 at the Youth Energy Celebration, which will be held this year at the Columbus Zoo.  OEP recognizes teachers and students participating in energy programs throughout the school year.
