Student Councils at Westerville North and South High Schools are inviting the Westerville City School District community to tailgate at Westerville South on Friday, October 13, before the big South/North football game.  Organizers want to celebrate the best that Westerville has to offer – its sense of community and the things that bring us together and make us great.  This will be an all-ages, family-friendly event that will raise money for Neighborhood Bridges, which has worked tirelessly to make kindness cool in the ‘Ville.  In the past eight months, the organization has helped connect more than 1,000 families with people who have been able to help them.

The event will take place on the Westerville South practice fields at 303 South Otterbein Avenue.  It will be moved indoors in case of rain.  Admission is free.  Tickets can be purchased to participate in various activities, however, including dunking a teacher or principal in a dunk tank, challenging yourself on an obstacle course (ages eight and under), climbing a rock wall, getting a henna tattoo, getting your face painted, playing corn hole, listening to great music, and taking pictures in a photo booth.  All proceeds will benefit Neighborhood Bridges.  Donations will be encouraged and welcomed.  Businesses that would like to be involved with the tailgate should contact seftonL@westerville.k12.oh.us or coggburc@westerville.k12.oh.us
