Friends, family members, teachers and fellow cheerleaders gathered in the Atrium at Westerville North High School on May 8 to celebrate as Abbey Chaffin officially announced that she will be cheering at Youngstown State next school year. In addition to cheerleading, Chaffin played four years of varsity lacrosse during her time at North, earning an OCC Honorable Mention, the Top Freshman Award and the Warrior Way Award. This scholar athlete also served as a junior mentor. Chaffin plans to study Exercise Science at Youngstown.
