Westerville North took part in the McDonald’s/NBC-4 High School Team Challenge this fall that pitted all Central Ohio schools.  First, the Warriors voted for three weeks to place in the top three of division two (based on football divisions).  Next, North had to defeat the other two division two schools to advance to the championship round against the division one (Grove City) and division three (Morgan) winners.  In one week’s worth of voting, North beat Grove City by four percent to take home the $10,000 grand prize.  An all-school assembly was held to celebrate the win on Monday afternoon, November 7.

The money will be used to purchase many weight room upgrades as well as a much needed new ice machine for our athletic training room.  Westerville North Athletic Director Wes Elifritz said, “For six weeks, Warrior Nation came together and showed great school pride in achieving this wonderful award!”
