On May 7, Ohio student writers were honored at the Cleveland Public Library for the Library of Congress Reading and Writing Contest called “Letters about Literature.”  For the competition, student writers from across the country submitted letters written to authors or poets (living or dead) about how a book, poem, or speech had affected them.  More than one million students participated nationwide; 2,428 from Ohio.  Among those selected as winners was Westerville North’s Tiffany McCutcheon (12th grade).  Her submission was written to Emily Bronte concerning her novel, Wuthering Heights.  McCutcheon was selected as an Honorable Finalist.
