Westerville North High School Names Scott Wetzel as Head Football Coach

Westerville North High School (WNHS) Principal Kurt Yancey announced today that Scott Wetzel has been selected as Head Coach of the WNHS Football Program, pending Board of Education action.

Wetzel has a strong history of success in his two previous head coaching positions.  He has an overall record of 131 – 46 with 10 league titles and a state championship.  At Buckeye Valley, he took the program to the next level by winning 4 league titles which were the first titles in the school’s history.  At Big Walnut, he led the Eagles to 6 OCC titles, 6 playoff appearances, 2 final fours, and the 2007 State Championship. 

“Scott’s passion for young people, coupled with his experience and commitment to excellence, are second to none and I am excited about what Coach Wetzel will bring to the Westerville North Warrior Football Program,” said Yancey.
