Westerville high school students attended The Ohio State University’s Engineering Shadow Day on September 28, which was sponsored by the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at OSU.  The pupils got to sit in on a first year engineering class; tour the campus; and visit engineering labs.  In addition, an OSU professor led them in an engineering experiment to construct a cardboard wired, battery operated light.  The visit ended with an OSU student-led panel which provided detailed information about what life is like as a first year engineering student and how to prepare for college.
